Simply Pretty Cream Shadow + Liner Duo in True Pink

Is it obvious that I'm blogging on my phone here. Yes, I am trying to do blogging on the go, since I can't afford to sit and lounge any time soon. So forgive the alignments and unedited photos, it is raw and fresh from my not-so-trusty phone camera. :3

Back to the topic, I love cream shadows lately as it is a good base and make shadows last longer. As you can see, this love affair all started with Ever Bilena's mousse eyeshadow in rose quartz and amber. *Watch out for my amber swatch and review, it is soooooo yummy! :P

When I saw this shadow liner duo from Simply Pretty a while back, I just can't say no and live! And so I got it! It comes with two shades, in pink and in purple, and I decided to get the pink shade...

The cream shadow comes in a lipstick tube and is the eyeliner's closing cap. :) Here are the swatches in one swipe with and without flash:

The cream shadow is not that pigmented and is glittery, but you could build up the color by swiping more hence you could also control the intensity of the color. If your lids aren't that oily, this could be used alone especially for monolids like me, and it could be used as a base for purplish/pinkish smokey eyes too. ^^

The eyeliner however is reddish brown, although I'm hoping I could use this as a brow pen too, I'd pass it, because like I said, it's kind of reddish, so this pencil is better used as an eyeliner to tight waterline if you want to achieve a defined eyes without being dramatic. :) It's also perfect for daytime use and for that no-make-up make up look as well.

All in all, I love my purchase and thought that I should have gotten the other shade as well! *sigh Oh well, I love to use this when I'm in a hurry (which is almost always!) so I used to keep this inside my make up purse all the time, but I hate that the cream shadow/cap of the eyeliner always pop out making havoc in my bag!

Have you tried this cream shadow + liner duo from Simply Pretty? What are your says?

GREEN POST: Tips and Tricks to Save Money and Mother Earth!

Hey hey hey! This is my first post for my newest "parent category" as wordpress said it, my GREEN post! It's all about saving Earth and saving our pockets and wallets by recycling, reusing, reducing, money-wise and being smart! Cool huh?

One reason I love Pinterest are educational posts like these and I felt like gotta share 'em! Some of the things I like are the shower head magic using vinegar, the soda pop hanger, nail polished keys, car lights cleaner and more! Seriously, this is fun and FUN and GREEN! :)

Socialites Driving School - Enrollment

Clouds like cotton candies, sun pouring rays on everything, birds racing beside me and I flipping the aeroplane wings around and around and one more

- that is how I depict myself driving!
*press pause button here*
Okay that was me daydreaming .. I told the tale of how I love to swim the sky and still wish I could make that dream come true. Back to reality, I really don't have interest on driving, I never thought of myself driving my own car someday. You know the daydreaming of house and lot with pool and a new drive? I'm good even without the drive. But, work and repeated circumstances pushed me to learn how to. A year ago, my brother, Maia (short term for Jeremiah) and I went to LTO and got our new student driver license, and guess what? A month or so ago, my brother became a professional driver! Me? A minute on Mr.Egg's (my hubby drives a purplish Honda Civic I called Mr.Eg short for Mr. Eggplant *winks) driver's seat and my knees gave in! I literally am shaking!

Then, recently, when we have to go to some place other than home, I always wished a could drive, I envy my brother "stealing" Mr.Egg at night and go some where he likes! It is hard to commute because I'm carrying a baby, a babybag, my bag, and sometimes blueprints and documents + food take outs! Can you imagine the struggle? And there are times that Mr.Eg and her (all vehicles are female! Because they can carry humans inside them, okay? :)) sister Grace (our newest bought van) is just waiting in the garage but we are commuting because no drivers are available, a meeting is set and it can't postpone. :(

My sister, Beth (I only have a brother and a sister) is persistent of telling me to go try enroll on a driving school, I just couldn't do it by myself and so she decided to tag along (but really, she loves to learn too! Like she really is determined to do it!) She said she's been eyeing a driving booth on a mall and ask several questions about driving on them, and so, on one fateful day, Beth, mom, babe and I approached this tiny little booth under the escalator of the ground floor of Market! Market!

Ask about driving. Like can we enroll even if we know zero about driving? The lady said yes, and that's the main reason they're here - to help rookies, newbies whatever you call them learn how to drive. The shortest most cheapest is the 5-hour drive for Php2,200.00.

We closed-eyes signed up for it! (Okay, not really shut eyes but you get it...) We even ask the lady if we could have a discount since we both are signing up and she did! We only paid Php4,000.00 for our classes together! Yay!
I guessed these Banapple treats from hubby made me courageous that day!

Havaianas Pays it Forward with Design a Smile 2 for the Benefit of Operation Smile

Helping others (especially children in need) while having fun (or better yet, winning prizes) is a win-win a win-win challenge I would always love to join, be part with and participate! And after knowing that Operation Smile (a non-profit group) and Havaianas are having their second launch of project called Design A Smile (DAS) that will help out give free surgery on kids with cleft palates, I'm more than willing to join!

DAS is a series of one-day contests for 5-12 year old kids inviting them to answer the question  "What will you do to make other people smile?" through a drawing. The winning entry will be made into an actual pair of flip flops and proceeds from the sale will fund surgeries.

When was the last time you made someone else smile? That is the question Havaianas asks you as it launches the Havaianas Design a Smile 2, a flip-flops design contest for the benefit of Operation Smile Philippines.
First launched in 2010, Havaianas Design a Smile gives children the chance to show their artistic talents by designing the next Havaianas Smile pair – a special design which will be produced into an actual Havaianas pair. A percentage of the sales will be donated to Operation Smile Philippines, a non-profit organization which provides life-changing surgeries to children with cleft lips and cleft palates. The initial run generated more than 2,000 entries and raised more than PHP 100,000 from donations alone during this period.
“Havaianas believes that summer is a state of mind and can be lived every day of the year whenever you adopt a happy and carefree attitude,“ shares Anne Gonzalez, Managing Director of Havaianas Philippines. “And nowhere else is that more evident than in children. With Havaianas Design a Smile, we hope to generate funds and awareness to support Operation Smile in our shared mission to spread smiles all over the world.”
This November to January, Havaianas Design a Smile 2 is back as the world celebrates Smile Month, with the theme “Paying it Forward: Kids Helping Kids.” Beginning October 22ndNovember 23rd, artistically inclined kids, tweens, and teens enrolled in kinder, grade school, and high school age 5 to 12 years old can join Havaianas Design a Smile by submitting their designs illustrating their answer to the question “What will you do to make other people smile?” at participating All Flip-Flops branches and partner schools nationwide up to November 30 partner events nationwide. Winners will receive exciting prizes from Havaianas, bobble, Pininho, Hobbes and Landes, McDonald’s, and Sony. The grand prize winner will also have his or her design produced as part of the Havaianas 2014 Collection as the Havaianas Smile pair, with a percentage of the sales from which will help fund the operations of Operation Smile.
“The response from our initial run was overwhelming,” says Ammiel de Leon, Group Director, “this year, we hope to enrich our partnership with Operation Smile even more and involve more people all over the Philippines in Havaianas and Operation Smile’s advocacy to give children their smiles.”

E.L.F. Cream Eyeliner

I took up cosmetology as a TLE subject when I was in highschool, and eversince I learned how glamorous looks could be when eyeliners are on, I never ran out of pencil liners in different shades and sometimes when I feel like it, I use liquid eyeliners as well, brown and black are my staples and sometimes I have blue and green shades with glimmers too. I don't use cream liners and I wanna venture on one so I bought this

Belle de Jour Power Planner 2013 + BDJ Beauty Box!

When I was in highschool, I used to dream about beautifully illustrated planner, colorful, vibrant and sophisticated-looking. I once discovered a girly planner from Candy once and that inspired me to jot down more, diary my skits and trips and more, but unfortunately I didn't sustain it because I never got the chance to have another of that Candy planner, not really sure if they stopped creating one or I'm just too late to grab one... Then, one night, my sister told me to scan her junk mails and help her delete spams and saw my cousin's email about Belle de Jour. She is offering my sister a BDJ Planner, I called my cousin about it and she said the BDJ Planner she was offering was a year ago, it was BDJ Planner 2010 and she is not selling anymore, but she happily told me that every October, BDJ is launching their next year planner always with a bang! :) After that conversation, the rest was history! I'm a BDJ girl since!

And so, my first ever Belle de Jour Planner was the BDJ 2011 I got from the McKinley Hill event, then,  BDJ power planner 2012 that I got from Take Flight: Launch of Belle de Jour Eastwood event and the latest and my third BDJ planner that I got from BDJ Fair: Limitless held at the Music Hall, Mall of Asia.

Like always, it comes with a BDJ Lifestyle Card, the key for additional promos from their brand sponsors and BDJ events like BDJ Passion Series and BDJ Rendezvous! :D

It's so amazing to have everything in one, right? An awesome planner, more helpful than the ordinary boring planners 'because it comes with special pages like dream board, vacation planner, random thoughts... Financially wise you'll be thanks to the bill trackers and cash flow! I also love the new wardrobe checklist and freedom page!

You'll learn what I meant when you buy one of the Belle de Jour Power Planner 2013 on their official website at plus learn more about the BDJ Beauty Box!
BDJ simultaneously launch the BDJ 2013 Planner and BDJ Box!

The picture above gave me a mini heart attack! It's so gorgeously cute and girly! Can't wait to try a box for myself!

Have you tried BDJ Planners before? Are you excited with the BDJ Box?

My Style Statement inspired by The Ramp Crossings

A stylish scarf is a chic way to offer warmth during rainy days, safeguard from bitter cold and windy night breeze or just to ward off the heat of the sun. One of our wardrobe staples are scarves and ever since I gave my sister this rectangular animal print scarf from The Ramp Crossings as a gift

she never live the house without it! The animal print design is forever and having it on as a scarf is very substantial, it can make the look vintage-y renaissance to comfortably-modern!

Here I will show you the most basic benefits she gets with this fabulous scarf from The Ramp Crossings.
This chic accessory add pizzazz and fashion impression that boost and increase her full, lusterless dress she is wearing on the left side while adding design and a dash of color on the right photo.

This simple scarf do wonders and magic to dresses, blouses and outfits turning them from so-so to glamorous-so! The outfit on the photo above changed in a quick instant! The plain terno of sleeveless top and black leggings became more fashionably bold and stylish because the scarf balance the outfit!

Maybelline - Color Sensational Lip Liner in Toast 25 Reviews + Giveaway!

Reviews from
I originally set out to the Maybelline section in search of a nude liner in the ColorSensational section called Nude (20). I had heard about it from a Youtuber. I picked it up, but then noticed the color next to it, Toast (25). Toast looked a bit more "nude" to me, but I stuck with the Nude one because it was the one mentioned in the video. However, it began to bug me as Nude didn't look that Nude on my looked peachy brown. So I did my research and went back and got Toast and the Clear lipliner (which is awesome by the way). Toast is sooo much better as a nudish lipliner than Nude on my NW20 skin, rosey brown lips. I can wear Toast alone and have it look right or as a base under any of my lippies (same is true for the Clear liner as well). So don't be fooled by the name. Toast might be your "nude" lipliner of choice.
Have been using maybelline lip pencils for years. I much prefer the pencil types to the push up types as they usually go on more easily and don't break. I loved the 20 shade in nude but I went to get another one as it was only 1" left and they didn't have it. So I picked up toast 25 and I have to say I think I prefer it. It's very natural looking. Lip pencils really help to make your lips look fuller and the colour remains most if the day. None others that I have tried have been as effective as maybellines. I'm a lifelong repurchaser of these!
Toast may be the most underrated "nude" shade in the drugstore shelves. Well, at least that is for fairer girls such as myself, with moderately pigmented lips and roughly NC/NW 20-25 skin.

It works great with nyx eyeshadow base or Mary Kay eye primer. I specially love the pink, it's perfect to get that natural look. I wish I could find that color on the singles.

Food Trip: MANNHANN on Mom and Dad's 26th Anniversary

I love Chinese food as much as I love Italian! Maybe because i grew up with it, eating pancit during occasions, be it canton, bihon, malabon, lucban, habhab, etc,. plus my mom is fond of making homemade carrot siomai out of homemade carrot juice! :P (One of the perks of living in Baguio! Another perk of living in Baguio was the uber-cheap but so delicious steamed or fried asado or bola-bola siopao from the local Danes Bakeshop! If you are to go to there, you gotta check them out!) And, believe me there are days when I'm so hungry of dimsum and oodles! :3 Back here in Makati, whenever we feel this way, all we have to do is walk a block and order our always in Chowking! :)

Yet again, my sister recently introduced us to a more next-to-the-level chinese restaurant that's near enough (whenever our cravings gets the best of us) as it is located at Market! Market! This particular instance was when we privately celebrated mom and dad's anniversary before celebrating it with close friends and relatives. :)

What we had was a heavy dinner with

Five Random Things This Week

These past few weeks are freaking crazy and hyped! Oh goodness, I'm super duper excited and happy that we finally arrived at our house here in Makati! Yay! That means we successfully packed our things to huge boxes! :D And safely headed home. :)

number 1 --- speaking of huge boxes, we had more than 40 boxes, plus the cabinets, study tables, dinning tables, chairs and things alike! :D which means...

number 2 --- time to unload the boxes! D: If packing is hard, then unpacking is harder!!! Geez... I had to put things into their places and change my mind about it and put it somewhere else! And there's this time, when I put it, change my mind, remove it, and change my mind again to have it put again (for the nth time) to the first place I decided to put it. (redundant I know, but heck I'm a girl yow!)

with grannies! :P
number 3 --- my babe can now roll whenever wherever! Said that, I need to give another extra focus and attention to him just to make sure he is safe, within reach and is always comfortable. You know, when he rolled, and he got tired, he don't know yet how to roll back. Hence, he'll just lay down flat face and won't care that he can't breathe because he is too tired to care, he'll just wait for me to see him in his situation and let me decide whether to pick him up or just let him lie there. :3 And of course, he know I'll pick him up! Smart boy ey?

number 4 --- I am designing a new website! Yay! It's taking too long but I'm patient enough... Hopefully, one magical day would arrive where I can show my site publicly! Whew... Clue? It's all about fashion! :D

number 5 --- Hey hey hey! I'm hosting a giveaway! Wanna join in?
Click here!
That's it for now! Watch out for my next post, as I will probably share to you my latest discovery on how to whiten those pearls! :D

Ever Bilena Mousse Eyeshadow in Rose Quartz

I love Ever Bilena as a drugstore makeup brand! I already share my views on its liquid make up foundation in Oriental. Now, I'll be bragging about my new rediscovered love of cream eyeshadows! :D The EverBilena Mousse Eyeshadow
Cream Eyeshadow in Rose Quartz
For less than Php150, this product is cheap and chunky for 6.5g! :D Great deal for those who just started to collect and love make up! It's vividly light and shimmery.Unbelievably lightweight and easily blendable.  This can be applied lightly using the ring finger or flat concealer brush for a subtle wash of color or layer to achieve deeper intensity. And as a mom, this product is a blessing! I could just dab it with my finger and I'm good to go!

 Here are the one-swipe swatches:

It can be worn alone or as a base of a powder baked or loose eyeshadow for longer-lasting wear and added dimension.  Richly pigmented shade. I think this is best with olive skintone so the color will show more vibrantly. :P

It's soft pink in color and not-so-much sheer. As you can see, my yellowish skintone makes the eyeshadow color barely there as I only use one swipe and spread it all around the lid and crease. This cream eyeshadow is a perfect base for neutral make up and for light smokey eyes even. :P I also wear this bare for no-makeup-make up look. :P

I would be getting a greyish hue next time I drop by! And, I'll gonna grab the Amber shade as well, crossing my fingers that it's still available. :P  Anyhow, is it a yay or nay? Do you have one of EB's Mousse Eyeshadows? What shades?

Photo Blog #5 just because...

Just because I wanna, so I gonna! :)
Here's a shot of my mini-gift + letter to my mom's bible student; Helen.
I honestly think that I'm taking away my mom from her, because will be going back to Manila and hence she won't be visiting her anymore, so aside from giving her my personalized copy of The Bible, I gave her some things that I love. <3
Just because it's his first time!
Ooooh, babe's milestone! He can now turn on his side! Yay!
(now, I know how it feels when your babe is learning simple things! :D)
See how I got to be a dovetailing mama?
So, don't forget to drop by my blogspot site here

We’re currently on the process of packing our things because we’ll be moving back from Baguio to Makati for good. That's the reason why I'm MIA and super thankful for my android! :D
We already cut our internet connection hence I’m typing and editing this post in a net cafe. :3 I have way too much things on my hand right now, I’m actually starting to panic! Thing is, I originally planned to end this giveaway at the end of the month but it’s impossible for me to check my blog and emails lately, what more on checking the entries, right? I don’t wanna make haste on choosing the winner because I have to personally check if she/he is legitimate by following the mandatory rules just to be fair for those who did it right. Consequently, I decided to just end this giveaway on 6th of January that’s a Sunday and announce the winner on January 7. Winner has 3 days to claim the prizes to be shipped on January 11 and that’s a Friday. J I hope everything is clear enough.
